Copper is a red metal, commonly found in plumbing, electrical and industrial applications. CRS buys clean scrap copper in Three main categories. 

B/s- Bright and Shiny
Also known as bare brite. In order to meet bare brite requirements it must be free of all contaminates,tarnish,corrosion and have a shiny gleam to it. Copper must be thicker than a #2 lead pencil.  Like the pic to the right bare brite copper is the most valuable of the three.

#1 copper
Number one copper  must be free of all contaminants tarnish and corrosion. Copper must be thicker than a #2 lead pencil. 

#2 copper 

Number two copper must be free of all foreign attachments. number two copper can include solder,corrosion, tincoat and can be thinner than #2 pencil. 

Make to sure check your copper with a magnet it may look like copper and in reality be copper coated!
